What Are We Doing in History Now?
In World History, we are continuing to explore ancient river valley civilizations. From our previous study of Mesopotamia, we have moved on to the ancient Egyptians and Nubians living along the Nile River. Most students associate pyramids and mummies with ancient Egypt. Did you know the ancient Egyptians built their pyramids and tombs on the west bank of the Nile River? They believed the sun god, Ra, was born each morning in the east and died each evening in the west. Ask your child about some other interesting facts that he/she has learned.
