Natural Impact Initiative at OMS
Phase 1: Rehabilitate the pond.
Add raised beds with native pollinators in pond area.
Refurbish flower bed surrounding OMS sign in front
of school.
Planting milkweed as a Monarch butterfly way
station.
Planting chestnut saplings in conjunction with the
American Chestnut Foundation.
Create an Appalachian Heritage Garden using native plants.
Thanks to all the support of our sponsors, phase 1 is complete in 2016.
Phase 2: Create ADA Nature Trails/walkways leading to
outdoor classrooms.
Create an outdoor classroom/Nature Pavilion.
Phase 3: Creation of low ropes course.
Expand outdoor classroom complex.
