Get ready to lace up your sneakers and show your Warpony spirit! The very first Warpony Resiliency Run 5K kicks off at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, starting and ending at Black Mountain Primary School (301 East State Street, Black Mountain). Whether you crawl, walk, or run across the finish line, every step supports a powerful cause.

The $25 entry fee goes directly toward running programs at Black Mountain Primary and Elementary Schools, and helps other school communities impacted by weather-related disasters. It’s a run with heart - a race that reminds us that even when storms hit hard, we rise stronger together.

This date holds a special meaning. On October 25, 2024, students across Buncombe County Schools returned to class after Hurricane Helene. The Warpony Resiliency Run honors that comeback spirit - the same resilience seen in every student, staff and family who faced challenges head-on and kept moving forward.

All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Grab your family, your friends, and your running shoes - and let’s cross the finish line together.
